Burghead moray

Hello folk's, I can't believe we are in to Start of September today. I hope you are all well and managing to get out and about exploring Scotland and the countryside around us.    I would love to share some photo's with you of my home town where I grew up.  Burghead is situated on the Moray coast 8 miles from Elgin.  Burghead has the most beautiful  views from the very top of the town. you can see Cromarty firth, hopeman and out looking over the harbour side Findhorn and Roseisle and Burghead Bay.    Growing up in Burghead as many fishing towns we had our own names for places around Burghead. The salmon greenie, the doorie hill, the slappy, the back shore to mention just a few. I could probably write a book about growing up in Burghead.  I love it so much.  I like continue on Burghead next blog.  Until next time Lainey and Richard. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 X

Hello again, I hope you are all well and enjoying the lovely weather, and keeping safe while getting out and about again more. Richard and I recently took a Sunday run out locally. We went out the country back roads towards Buckie.   Buckie is a beautiful sea town situated in moray Scotland.  The beautiful beach and harbour is well worth visiting. The town itself is worth visiting for a coffee in one of the local cafes or a lunch.  I love to get the costal number 35 bus double decker bus along the coast, amazing views from the top deck.  Until next time keep safe  Lainey

Craigellachie Bridge

Image
Craigellachie Bridge was designed by Thomas Telford in 1814.  The river spey runs through Craigellachie also Fochabers and Garmouth It is very popular for fishing especially for salmon. Under the bridge is a area which as known as the beach as has beach sand, its very popular for picnics and a wee swim or canoes.  My partner and I took a visit up this weekend. And we took some photo's. I hope you enjoy until the next adventure. Lainey and Richard x

About Little Garve, well it is situated in the Highlands Scotland. it has great views over the river from the small bridge, to the right it flows with Rogie falls which is on the right looking over the bridge. if you keep walking over the bridge to your right you can follow a path that takes you towards big Garve. but as you go down on your left hand side there is a beautiful play area all made out of wood. also has picnic tables.
